In a devastating incident, five policemen lost their lives and two others sustained injuries in a tragic accident that occurred in the Sujangarh Sadar police station area of Churu district, Rajasthan. The mishap occurred early Sunday as the police vehicle, en route to an election meeting in Taranagar, collided with a parked truck.

The victims have been identified as Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Ramchandra from Khinvsar police station, along with constables Kumbharam, Suresh Meena, Thanaram, and Mahendra. The policemen were on duty, heading to participate in an election-related event when the unfortunate collision took place.

Superintendent of Police, Churu, Praveen Nayak, provided details of the incident, expressing the community’s shock and grief over the loss. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot extended his condolences, stating, “Early this morning, sad news was received about the casualties of policemen in a vehicle accident in Sujangarh Sadar area of Churu. Our deepest condolences to the families of all the policemen who died in this accident. I wish for the speedy recovery of the injured.”
